You may remember from the movie that Rocky was an unknown boxer who, through an amazing set of circumstances, got a chance to fight the heavyweight champion of the world. This was all based off of real life boxer, Chuck Wepner. Although he was badly injured and didn’t win, Chuck Wepner finished the fight standing. To this day, both his business card and logo show a photo of him standing over Mohammad Ali after he knocked the champion down. Chuck Wepner told me that while he realized he couldn’t defeat Mohammad Ali, he could seize the moment and create a legend—which is what he did. Jim says, When good things or bad things happen to us, we always have a choice to either build on the positive or turn around the negative. We all have the right to choose.
