Audience request month continues with Roger Corman’s “The Pit and The Pendulum”. A film in which a grief-stricken Vincent Price keeps his dead wife’s bedroom exactly as she left it, and similarly ensures that his dead father’s torture chamber is well oiled and fully functional; the local Doctor is a bit overfamiliar, and happy to sign off on DIY home internment; and we get the thesaurus out to namecheck all the synonyms for Hell.
