Guest: President and CEO of arc Lloyd Lewis. Lloyd discusses the mission of arc, a fundraiser on Sept 5, and the over 500 people they have hired with intellectual deficits. Lloyd and arc have recently received prestigious awards. A National Philanthropy Award for arc and University of Chicago School of Businss also gave Lloyd a Distinguished Alumni Award for his work in philanthropy. The former CEO of Chipotle, and Taco Bell, who was just named the new CEO of Starbucks today, also received the same award. As did the CEO of Microsoft. So Lloyd is doing some incredible work in our community. Best news: When Lloyd started at arc, they employed about 5 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and now they have almost 500 Ambassadors employed at arc.
