Ep. #15- Amy R's Story

Becky and Kristy sit down with Amy R. who discusses how she discovered two-and-a-half years ago that her husband of eighteen years was struggling with pornography use. She describes her state of shock and the symptoms of betrayal trauma she experienced. Although her husband confessed everything and they sought help right away, there were many layers to work through. Amy feels her husband had compartmentalized so much that she did not see many of the red flags indicating something was amiss until later. Through educating herself, connecting with others, therapy, exercise, and self-care, Amy has learned that "Healing is a real thing. Forgiveness is a real thing." She has learned to truly love those suffering from sex addiction, believes that recovery is possible for all kinds of people and she testifies that the Savior is on her side.
