Ep. 15 - From mum rage to embodied parent with guest Emma Hopper
from Beyond Motherhood · host Monique Bathis
I LOVED this week’s episode with special guest and trauma informed parent coach, Emma Hopper. We spoke about all things: - Embodied parenting - Mum rage and and the postpartum journey - Healing our own wounds through parenting - How we can foster better relationships with our kids and family - And so much more! About Emma: Emma is a mom to two cheeky, energetic little monkeys, and a trauma informed coach who helps parents create safe & deeply connected relationships with their children by cultivating emotional intelligence within their family. Emma developed a passion for supporting other parents as a result of the struggles she faced in her own parenting journey. Becoming a mom brought overwhelming emotions, reactivity, rage & mental health issues that not only impacted her, but the entire family. She has since undertaken extensive training in trauma, mind-body connection, nervous system regulation & emotional intelligence as she found support and resources hard to come by. Emma’s life mission is to bring about a new parenting paradigm that takes a proactive & preventative approach to emotional and mental wellbeing by helping parents learn how to manage their frustrations, stress and emotions so they can be calmer, happier and more present with their children. Resulting in raising children who are more self aware, regulated and able to manage their emotions and behaviour in a more positive way.
