Le Monde ha definito il doomscrolling come l'atto di leggere informazioni che producono ansia, un comportamento nato dall'incontro tra la curiosità umana e i prodotti delle piattaforme digitali. Nell’epoca di emergenze e guerre - covid, Ucraina, Israele-Hamas, riscaldamento climatico - “scrollare” le notizie on line finisce per creare ansia e nervoso.
