Hello, everybody, and welcome to this 15th episode of The Daily Unpacking. Why are you talking like that? I don't really know. Hi, everyone.
I'm trying to make us being listened to more. Your armpits smell like sweat. Your armpits smell like sweat. You took a shower earlier.
Why does it smell like sweat? Because we walked around the Ubud Monkey Forest today. Did you forget to put deodorant on? I did put deodorant on.
I'm just sweaty. Are you still stinky? It does smell a little bit stinky. I know.
Oh, my God. It's been a day, huh? Wow, has it been a day? We woke up at the previous hostel, which was called the Kempaka.
No, no, no, no. Cabera. Cabera Ubud Bungalows, which was a little bit rough. That's another statement.
They were really fucking rough. And so we're supposed to be there for six nights, but we basically just told the guy that we're not. So bye. And we paid him for one night and then left.
And I found this other place that is much nicer, has air conditioning, is still really close to everything. It's clean, has a clean bathroom, and it's cheaper. So here we are. So here we are.
We walked here with our backpacks. It was a 20-minute walk. 20 minutes. It wasn't that bad.
And when we got here, we checked in and we got situated, and we took a shower, and we started editing a video. And then we went out for lunch. Well, actually, we went to the monkey forest. But we ate lunch on our way there.
At the vegan buffet again. It was a great spot. Yeah, it was a really great spot. I wish it was a little bit cheaper, but since our budget is so tight, but it's such good food, and I feel like it's worth it.
And it feels really healthy. I feel really good after eating it. Same. Maybe we can work there one day, since we can have a total of three plates.
Maybe we just eat one, and then we work. And then we eat another one, and then we work. On our laptops? Yeah.
Yeah, that's not a bad idea. We can do that. And then we went to the Ubud Monkey Forest. It was absolutely amazing.
Holy cow, was it incredible. That was great. And it ouched. Ow.
Shit. What'd you do? I hit my elbow on the thing. Yeah, I heard that sounded not good at all.
Okay, the monkey forest was incredible, and it wasn't even just because of the monkeys, like the fucking forest was so beautiful. It's so beautiful. Tall trees, like jungle light, like bridges from one place to another. Yeah, and all like Balinese carvings and temples with like hundreds and hundreds of monkeys and their babies just running around fighting each other.
Yeah, that's literally what it was. And we had some monkeys climb on us. We had one bit Baikala at the very end of the day. Yeah, I got bit in the leg because for some reason the monkeys were really into like biting the bottom of my dress.
And so before when it was happening, it was fine because it was just one of them. But then I had like four monkeys at a time who were like biting the bottom of my dress. So I tried to move a little bit so that they would get off my dress and they did not like that very much. So I got bit in the leg.
But thankfully they didn't make me bleed. They just like scraped the top layer of my skin off, but I didn't bleed. So if you stop hearing from me soon, you'll know why. Yeah, it's because you stopped posting podcasts.
No. No. Okay. It was a different reason?
Yeah. Oh, okay. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. So after the monkey forest, I would keep talking about it forever.
It was so cool. But if you just go to our Instagram and our YouTube and our Facebook, you'll see like we have a million pictures from the monkey forest of all the monkeys. Yeah, check it all out. Really cute babies like clinging on to their moms.
We got to see some monkeys have sex a few times. Yeah, that was cool. That was great. That was great.
And after about two and a half, almost three hours there, we left and walked back to the hotel. And we walked back to the hotel, came here, and we took a nap. I didn't nap. Oh, I napped.
You napped. I couldn't nap. I was tired, but not tired enough. And then Kyle called.
You guys know Kyle by now, right? Yeah, you probably know Kyle by now. Kyle was on the way here to pick up his backpack. Which he left with us three hostels ago.
Yeah. And he got in a bike accident on the way here. So we didn't bring any money with him. So he had to go to the hospital.
And then he called us from the hospital and he said that he didn't have any money on him and that they wouldn't let him leave unless he paid. So we or I had to jump on a scooter and then drive to the hospital and pay him out from there and give him his backpack. Because he's on a flight to Dubai tonight. Yeah, and literally right now.
Yeah, he's probably on the flight. Yeah, he's probably on the flight. Hopefully we got to text him and ask. Then I scooted back.
We went to the pizza place and we had really nice pizza. Yeah, that was really good. I needed that. And then we came here and we killed some geckos.
Aww. So Ubud, well Bali, but Ubud in particular is famous for the amount of geckos that they have. And it doesn't really matter like how nice of a hotel you're in. Well, I guess if you're in like a five-star hotel, you're probably not going to have geckos.
But any type of like homestay or bungalow or anything like that that's like open into the nature or into the jungle that's around us. Because we're really close to the monkey forest. Apparently we'll be able to like see monkeys in the morning on the rooftops. But there's geckos everywhere.
We've already had like a total of four in our room. And we killed one of them on accident. We tried to catch them so that we could let them out again. But like in the process of them escaping, like I chopped one of the tails off and then the tail was like twitching on the floor here.
Yeah, the other one you like blew his brains out. There's like literally a blood stain on the wall. I didn't mean to though. I did not mean to.
He tried to catch it in the trash can. But then like, you know how these things go. Well, that was our day. Tomorrow we're planning on staying in to work and get our...
Maybe doing some laundry. Yeah, that's the one thing we need to do. We need to do laundry and then all the content shit that we need to get done. We need to do bounce back tomorrow.
We need to do a Facebook video tomorrow. We need to complete the vlog 11 tomorrow. Yeah, there's a whole bunch of stuff we need to get done. Yeah.
So staying in, hopefully the internet is going to be better than what it was today. But other than that, thank you all for listening. I see that the viewers are getting up. Really?
We started with four, like four or five. And then like around episodes seven, eight, we have more like seven, eight to 10. And now we're like, we're steady on 13, 14. Thank you guys for listening.
We only have like 14 listeners every time. That's dope. We appreciate you guys so much. But we want to thank you guys for listening.
That's really cool. If you... Because I don't really know who you guys are. I know my sister listens and I know that your grandma listens.
Yeah. But I don't know who all the other people are. So if you guys are listeners to our podcast, please hit us up on any of the social medias on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook and Snapchat. So that we know that you're listening.
So that we know and that's what we can give you a personal thank you. Yeah, if you have any tips or anything that you think will help. Oh, my brother probably is listening to one of the episodes. Yeah.
So yeah, any tips would be greatly appreciated. Anything you want to hear us talk about, like in particular. Yeah. We feel great, by the way.
Like, we don't talk about feeling slow. We mostly talk about what we do. We should talk about how we feel. We feel great.
I feel great. I feel happy. I feel energetic. Well, now I feel tired.
But my brain feels happy. Like, I have... Your brain feels happy. You're tired.
Okay. Thank you guys for listening. Your heart feels happy. My heart feels happy.
Thank you for listening, guys. We appreciate you. Good night. Good night.
