Over the years, the program has helped launch the careers of countless professionals, including teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, and university professors.Now, CAMP programs in Washington state and across the country are awaiting word on whether federal funding will continue. Without it, many migrant students are left in limbo, uncertain whether the doors to higher education will remain open.WSU CAMP Director Michael Heim talks about the program’s importance, highlighting how it not only supports academic success but also transforms lives and communities.
