Paranoia and cynicism are no way to move through the world. Smug satisfaction with being right will not help. Perhaps because we are all so preoccupied with not being fooled, there aren’t as many consequences for the perpetrators. If you are betrayed or fooled, you would might be more likely to react in more extreme ways. If you already knew better, if you have that disaffected, "Well I’m not surprised by anything anymore," then you rest on those laurels and the world remains unchanged.This episode is hybrid radio show + chit chat.
