This book is about an interracial couple in their mid-30's who rent a vacation home in Cape Cod, and spend a week with each of their parents/in-laws.  Keru's parents are Chinese immigrants, while Nate's are anti-vaxing Trumpers.  Both sets of parents have strong opinions and peculiar idiosyncrasies.
