Readers readily recognize the work of one of the most prolific writers on the tree dog scene today, that of Missourian Amy Kovac Thomas.  As a feature writer for American Cooner, Full Cry and Prohound magazines her articles appear regularly, whether breed columns for the National Treeing Cur Association or feature articles on major event winners, her ability to get the story promptly and tell it in the familiar vernacular of the sport, are well-established.Not only is Thomas a writer, she also breeds her family’s strain of Treeing Curs and also works closely with young coon hunters through Professional Kennel Club’s successful youth program for which she has served as National Director until her recent retirement.Amy is well-known throughout the coonhound world for her ready smile, love of a good laugh, and her contagious positive outlook on our sport and on life in general.Listeners will enjoy this episode as we discuss the many-faceted life of one the nicest folks I have had the opportunity to meet in my many years of involvement with the sport of tree dogs.  We would like to thank those who support this podcast.
