"I am your classic friend, salesperson by nature. I was always concerned with what the other person was thinking and feeling, and if they were going to like me. So therefore I would never take a chance by quote, "pushing too hard" and in my mind pushing was asking them to buy what I had to sell. What I came to realize eventually is that my definition of what selling was and what my function was, was wrong. I thought that selling was something you did TO people. I saw selling as something evil. I saw it as a manipulative, task that somehow got people to do something they didn't want to do or shouldn't do. The change in mindset for me and that I think that most people need is to understand that selling is not something you do to people. It's something you do FOR people.
