Ep. 158 Today's Peep Begins a Second Year of Pat's Peeps Podcasts, Late Night TV Hosts and their Post-Election Whining, Johnny Carson Did It Right, Yankee Fan Meltdown, and A Bleeding Heart in Today's Rare 45 Record Spin

Ever wondered what happens when politics and social media collide? Join me in celebrating the second year of Pat's Peeps Podcast as we explore the turbulent waters of post-election social dynamics and the importance of nurturing real-life relationships despite opposing political views. Through personal stories from my family, filled with humor and love, we learn how to bridge divides and maintain strong bonds. Plus, we'll time travel through music with selections from my Rare 45 collection, coincidentally highlighting the themes of our discussions.Remember the golden era of late-night TV with legends like Johnny Carson and David Letterman? Their comedic genius has left a lasting impact on my work, and in this episode, we take a nostalgic trip through their timeless humor and entertainment. While they masterfully kept politics at bay, today's late-night hosts seem to do the opposite. We critically assess the media's role in shaping political narratives and question the sustained popularity of hosts with perceived biases, all while recounting an epic Dodgers vs. Yankees game that feels straight out of a sitcom.Lastly, let's indulge in some musical nostalgia. A spotlight on the 1987 album release and its subsequent tour in '88 brings back vivid recollections of a transformative time in music history. As we finish up, a heartfelt thank you goes out to each listener for your unwavering support, with an open invitation to join the Pat Walsh Show for more entertaining and insightful conversations.
