Paul's dear friends Clay Eals and Jean Sherrard organized the event and served as emcees (ems-cee?). Speakers/performers included Ken Workman, Chief Seattle descendant, of the Duwamish Tribe; Mayor Katie Wilson of Seattle; Marie McCaffrey of HistoryLink; Ann Ferguson, retired Seattle Public Library "Seattle Room" Librarian; Washington Governor Bob Ferguson; folk musician Al Hirsch (performing “The Old Settler” - aka “Acres of Clams”); Bob Donegan, CEO of Ivar’s; Greg Nickels, former Seattle mayor and current HistoryLink board chair; Mike James, longtime newsman and anchor for KING TV and KIRO TV and old friend of Paul Dorpat; and Leonard Garfield, executive director of MOHAI.
