from Muses · host Muses

This week we bring you a story from the perspective of a rock DAUGHTER- Galadrielle Allman. Based on her book: Please Be With Me: A Song for My Father, Duane Allman, Chanty presents this moving story of discovery and healing. Galadrielle Allman lost her father when she was only 2, and he only 24. For years she lived with fragmented stories and mementos of her father's life, never truly feeling like she knew the whole man. Galadrielle went on a quest to discover the untold stories of her father, and created a beautiful book that serves as both an Allman Brother's band biography, and a a personal snapshot of the family and people that shaped them. Chanty discusses some of the most influential women in the lives of the brothers including their mother Jerry, cousin Jo-Jane, Duane's wives Patti and Donna, and of course Galadrielle herself.
