On February 19, 1945 on the Myanmarese island of Ramree, nearly 1,000 Japanese soldiers met a grisly fate in swampy, crocodile-infested waters. The sounds of their terrible deaths, and the gruesome stories of that night haunted those who were there, and snaked their way through history until we were left with a tale of mythic proportions.
