Hello and thank you guys for joining in another week of the Real Women Chronicles podcast. I am your host. If you were joining me for the first time I go by the name of Coach T. I am your virtual life and relationship coach.

Speaking of life coaching, if you are in need of life coaching, be sure to log onto my website, theRWCpodcast.com on that website. Not only can you view all of my podcast episodes, but there is also a tab that allows you to coach with me. So if you have any questions regarding coaching, please reach out to me on that website. That being said, I want to jump into this week's podcast episode.

I know this podcast episode may seem a little similar to one that I've done quite a few weeks ago on the topic of doubting yourself. But as I was thinking about this week's podcast, the words trusting in yourself just kept coming to me. So I say, you know what? It has to be something on this topic that I feel like God wants me to relate to you all.

So although the topics are similar, I really want to address this particular topic a little differently than I did with the topic of doubting yourself. Because ultimately, if you don't trust in yourself, right, that is an indication that you are doubting yourself. But I often notice that many people don't know how to reach inward. They don't know what that looks like because they've always trusted the opinions of others.

And I think we don't shed enough light on reaching inward, on really trying to find our own answers. And self-doubt is more on the terms of, OK, you have this goal or you have this plan and you doubt your ability to accomplish it. But trusting in yourself means that no matter what decision you make, you trust in your own inward ability for guidance. I think by us having so many different avenues and so many places we can go for advice that we forget to check within.

Many times, even with the codependent, if you guys have listened to my last few episodes where I was talking about codependency, often the codependent ignores their own needs and they will get, you know, seek answers from other people because it's easy for them to do what other people want them to do. And they often neglect what their spirit is telling them to do. And so this episode, I want to motivate you to reach inward before you start reaching outward. And I know I've said this before, but for some reason, I feel like it's necessary to reiterate this notion on this week's podcast.

Maybe there's a decision that you need to make. Maybe you are trying to figure out what direction to take. Maybe, just maybe, this is a test, whatever the situation is that you're faced with right now. Maybe it's a test of yourself loving yourself respect.

Whatever it is, know that the answer lies within you. My job often as a coach is not to find the answers for my clients. My job often is to help them come up with the answer that they probably already know, but they don't have the confidence to make it. They don't rely enough on themselves.

And this is not a put down, because guess what, each and every one of us, whether you want to admit it or not, have been faced with decisions that were scared to make. And we ran to someone else, we needed that advice, and sometimes it's necessary. But here's the thing, many times, if you think back to those circumstances, you probably already had the answer, and you were looking for validation. You wanted someone else to say, you have the answer and you're going in the correct direction.

Although, if that is okay with some circumstances, to constantly rely on other people, when your spirit is guiding you, when they're not in your situation, they're not walking in your shoes, they're not feeling the emotions that you feel. Okay, so their ability to make a decision on your behalf may not always be clear, because they're not walking in your shoes. They don't know what it's like to be in that situation most times. This is why it's important to be clear on what you want to do before going to outside influences.

They're not walking in your shoes. And I'm a firm believer that you won't necessarily regret decisions that you make on a sound mind. But I've learned a few things that we learned, we will regret decisions that we make under fueled by emotions, because emotions constantly change, and we often regret decisions that we made because of someone else. We made that decision because a mom wanted us to.

We made that decision because our friends wanted us to, or our mate wanted us to. These are decisions that oftentimes I've noticed in my career that folks will regret, because they never made the decision themselves, they were talking to the decision, as time goes on, they tend to regret it. Because instead of following their own spirit and their own internal guide, they followed someone else's. Now here's the thing, this is not to say that you cannot make a decision on your own sound mind and follow your own spirit and still make a mistake.

But it is telling you, I am telling you that trusting yourself means that even in the midst of those mistakes, you trust yourself enough to know that you have their ability within to find your way out. Trusting yourself is about self-love, guys. It's the greatest form of self-love. If something does not feeling right, it's not right.

And we often don't need other people to validate that because they're not feeling what we're going through. If it's not feeling right, it's not right. You know what's best for you. Trust that.

Find that confidence within. This is all about self-love. The more you fall in love with yourself, the more you learn to protect yourself, the more you trust that your spirit is guiding you, the more you say, you know what? I have to make decisions for myself.

I know what feels good to me. I know what doesn't. The more in tune you are with your own needs, the more you are able to release yourself from other people's perspective. And ultimately, you want to release yourself from other people's perspective.

We all motivate others and advise others from our own personal experience. So many people, although they want to help, may not give you an unbiased opinion about your life because many of us naturally and subconsciously will base our opinion around what we've seen, what we've walked through. So how can you go to someone else about a major life decision when they're really basing their decision off of their experience, what they've seen, what makes sense to them? And I really believe this is why God gave us intuition, y'all.

He gave us intuition. That is like God's voice tugging on you. There was a young lady, and I don't know her name, but there was a young lady who talked about how when God sends you something, you know it. Because it comes with confirmation and clarity.

But when it's coming with confusion and anxiety, it's not coming from God. You're just looking for two things within. How does it feel to you? And here's the thing, when God gives us confirmation, it doesn't mean that you're not gonna be nervous about making a new change in your life.

That's not what it means. But it means that you trust yourself to know that this is the right decision, and it sits well with your soul. No, it's not necessarily always a decision that you make once fear is gone. Sometimes fear is present in these type of decisions, right?

Because you're relying on yourself. You're relying on your internal clock. You're not clock, but your internal, I guess, gauge that tells you that this is the right decision. So you move in spite of fear.

You take that first step. And one thing I know about God is when he's sending us something and we take that first step, he will continue to confirm that we're going the right direction over and over again. I just, I've always seen him do it. But when it's cloudy and it doesn't feel right and your spirit is at unrest and you're like, what?

You know, why does this not feel right? Because it's not right. The decision that you're making is not right. That's why it doesn't feel right.

Trust yourself. Trust your spirit. It will guide you. That being said, that is all I have for this week, guys.

I hope one of you out there, someone out there really got this message. And my prayer is that it's changed something in your life. It's changed your way of thinking. That you're ready to tackle the new week.

That being said, let's close out and pray our Father God. I pray against any spirit of confusion, Father God. Provide clarity to each and every one of us, Father God, so that we can follow the path that you have set out for us and not the path that someone else thinks we should go in. Give us the confidence to stand firm and decisions that we make.

Give us the confidence to trust ourselves and let go of the fear of being wrong and just know that whenever we trust ourselves, we're making the right decision. We love you, Lord. We praise you. We glorify your holy name and the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray, amen. Until next week, y'all, I love y'all. Bye.
