MDT is an Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, TX. He teaches gross anatomy to first-year physiotherapy students and maintains a clinical practice that applies MDT to a sports population. Allan graduated with a B.Sc.PT from Queen’s University (Canada) in 1988 and completed his DPT at the College of St. Scholastica (MN) in 2016. A McKenzie Diplomat, he also runs a clinical practice specializing in MDT for sports populations. Dr. Besselink holds a Ph.D. in Education, with research focused on cognitive structure, knowledge organization, and competency-based education. He completed his Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Learning, Instruction, and Innovation in 2021. His primary research interests include cognitive structure, knowledge organization, expertise, and competency-based education. 📚You will learn about: What cognitive structures are and why they’re relevant.
