How could you turn your passion, purpose, and life story into a profitable authorpreneur business? This is exactly what Bishop Dr. Carla Dunbar has done. She will be sharing in our final session at the Caribbean Authorpreneur Virtual Summit on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 7p.m. JMT. Bishop Dr. Dunbar is truly an Authorpreneur Rockstar. It was Bishop Dr. Dunbar who introduced me to book publishing and was instrumental in helping me to publish my first book in January 2015. This year, she and her daughter-in-law, Damarli Dunbar, were members of my Authorpreneur Secret$™ Academy and as a result, they officially added CDMI publishing as a new business. They published three new books under the CDMI imprint in 2024 - “The Couples Journal,” “Wisdom Keys for Families” and “Freelancing Superstars.” Bishop Dr. Dunbar’s story is incredibly inspiring. She has been a personal friend and mentor for 23 years. Her story of rising from teenage pregnancy to being an influential minister, author, and marriage counsellor in Jamaica and overseas has led to many awards. The most recent is one from the President of United States of America. In November 2024, she was the recipient of the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, honored by AmeriCorps and the office of the President of the USA for her work in building marriage and family life.
