With England now playing a three match Test series in Pakistan I am delighted to be joined by Leena Aziz, Asia’s first female cricket commentator, who reflects on England’s return to Pakistan after a 17 year gap. Leena talks about her love of cricket which began at a young age playing cricket in her grandmother’s garden. Her passion evolved into writing about cricket as a teenager before she worked on Pakistan TV in her early twenties and later commentating on Radio Pakistan, where she has covered over two hundred international matches. Leena is now in demand as a cricketing analyst working regularly on television. Leena’s passion for the game and engaging personality comes through in this insightful interview where she talks candidly about the challenges she has encountered as a woman in her broadcasting career.
