Ep. 166 Today's Peep Loses a Tooth Before Thanksgiving, Taps Into The Pat Walsh Show During Tonight's "Best Of," Remembers Chuck Woolery and Love Connection's 80s Romance, and A Musical Time Warp with a Pair of Great 70's Tunes!

Ever experienced the awkwardness of losing a front tooth right before a big holiday? Join me as I share the humorous tale of my own dental disaster just in time for Thanksgiving. With the unexpected gift of a week off from my late-night radio show, except for the holiday itself, there is plenty of time to ponder the challenges of carving a turkey while donning a lopsided grin. Then we tap into my radio show, The Pat Walsh Show as we recall the charm and quirks of iconic infomercials, from the unforgettable blu blocker glasses to Miss Cleo's psychic hotline. Imagine how these offbeat ads might fit into today’s world, and enjoy a few laughs as we speculate on the lives of their charismatic spokespeople. Reflect on a unique gift from a fan—a tablet and pens—that speaks to my passion for handwriting, and see how these fun memories bring a touch of humor and nostalgia to our late-night ramblings. Relive the 1980s as we explore "Love Connection," a classic dating show that captured hearts with its quirky format and unforgettable fashion. Chuck Woolery's memorable introductions and contestants with intriguing stories—including one driving a Batmobile-inspired car—offer a glimpse into an era of unique dating adventures. Travel further back to the 1970s with Sugarloaf's timeless hits, appreciating the artistic innovation that made their music unforgettable. To sum it up, you won’t want to miss the whimsical tale of a band playing in the nude and their humor-infused music industry escapades, all while I promise to return after a much-needed dental appointment.
