The Journal of Affrilachian Arts & Culture. She earned her BA and MFA from the University of Georgia and taught as an English Lecturer for close to a decade. She currently freelances as Elizabeth Maria Unlimited.  Elizabeth Maria is a food justice advocate and has worked with food justice organizations, including Rustic Roots Sanctuary, the RobinHood Group, The Healthy Life Community Garden, and Community Helping Place to create access to fresh, organic, locally grown food in Opportunity/Promise zones. Elizabeth Maria uses her expertise as a teacher, mentor, writer, holistic health coach, and vegetarian chef to help organizations with grant writing, research, program development, and educating children and adults about the benefits of whole foods.  During her 25 + years of conscious emotional and spiritual healing, Elizabeth Maria has participated in treatments for well-being such as talk and group therapy, creative therapies, 12-step, harm reduction, somatic healing, and TIR trauma therapy.
