Thru-skating, which I'm sure many of you aren't familiar with, parallels thru-hiking/backpacking, but uses a skateboard or longboard for travel. Moondog is among the pioneers of this new way of outdoor travel, completing notable thru-skates including a 24-day, 492-mile thru-skate of New Mexico, and a skate on the 444-mile Natchez Trace Parkway.
