EP 168: MAMA SAID Just Wait

We’re talking in this episode about things moms say to other moms and we’re focusing on the things we say that aren’t helpful. Unsolicited advice, minimizing, and comparing are all things we do that are not great. A mom that is going through a hard time might share with a mama a season ahead of her and instead of hearing hope and encouragement, she gets the dreaded: JUST WAIT. As in, just wait until the newborn that doesn’t sleep becomes a tantrum-throwing toddler. Then, we find a mama who was already overwhelmed feeling worse as she anticipates all the hard to come. Instead, what if we speak JUST WAIT into other moms as a way to offer hope as we share how good it’s going to be! As in, just wait until that sweet newborn can say mama and give you a hug.
