Ep. 17 Interview with John Standard (Pastor)
from Innovating Purpose Hosted by Keith Reeser
Pastor John Standard was my childhood pastor ages 8-18. I appreciate his heart for faithful teaching and his desire to equip people with the transformational Good News of the Bible. His passion for Bible memorization, interesting preaching and serving faithfully is both encouraging and inspiring for many. Here are Springfield Bible's leadership website and sermon links. I would encourage you to listen to their sermons. http://springfieldbible.org/about-us/leadership, http://springfieldbible.org/sermons John also shared of his work on teaching from the book of James alongside a translator for the "word of life" ministries. This is session 2 but you can find much more on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wl6R9WTYM2w&t=2s Some books that Pastor John referenced: - The Case for Jesus the Messiah (https://smile.amazon.com/Case-Jesus-Messiah-Incredible-Prophecies/dp/0890817723/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=the+case+for+jesus+the+messiah+ankerberg&qid=1574188142&sr=8-1) - Biblical Preaching (https://smile.amazon.com/Biblical-Preaching-Development-Delivery-Expository/dp/0801049121/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1A1WQ31311AA1&keywords=biblical+preaching+haddon+robinson&qid=1574188616&sprefix=biblical+preaching+had%2Caps%2C196&sr=8-1) - "Stand like Lincoln, speak like Churchhill" (https://smile.amazon.com/Speak-Like-Churchill-Stand-Lincoln/dp/0761563512/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=stand+like+lincoln&qid=1574188697&sr=8-1)
