Ep. 17 - Liam Drysdale
from Desert Island Goals Hosted by Desert Island Goals
What a treat we have for you this week. We're joined by massive Hibernian, Scotland, and Manchester United fan Liam Drysdale. Liam's #DesertIslandGoals are jam-packed with stories, drama, and emotion, as we get everything from a Champions League winning goal, to a last minute winner that turns out to not be a winner at all! Liam teaches us all about the Scottish Premier League, the Edinburgh rivalry between Hibs and Hearts, and lists at least 6 reasons why EVERYONE else in Scotland hates Rangers and Celtic. Liam's 5th and final goal is an all-time story of persistent heartbreak, the unfair hope that football continues to give us as fans, and what it feels like when you finally break a 100-year old curse on your team. It's electric. This one's a little longer than usual, but once you've heard the stories, and what they mean to Liam, you'll fully understand why. It's an emotional ride, but one I'm utterly convinced you'll enjoy. As always, please leave us a 5 star review wherever you get your podcasts and follow us (@DIGoalsPod), Callum (@CallumJDSquires), & Liam (@LiamDrysdale), on Twitter and Instagram. Cheers!
