Part 1 of my conversation with Small Business Owner Rich Waine of Richard Waine Photography all about small business and money. As small business owners, it is important to understand why knowing your money can help you be more successful in your business. Rich is a professional headshot photographer based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Queens, New York, at a time when shag carpeting was still in style. A musician from the age of 9, I found inspiration and a desire to create. Rich is a graduate of Hofstra University, and have spent the better part of my career in the field of finance. Working long, stressful days on Wall street, I decided to take a different direction. He didn't just dive into headshot photography, but saw a YouTube video of Peter Hurley. In awe of his energy, knowledge and personality, Rich made the commitment to pursue headshots as his specialty. After meeting Peter and spending time with him at an industry conference, Rich was confident that this was my calling. Peter wasn't so sure.
