Ep. 172 Today's Peep Braves Rainy Rivals, Friday the 13th, Witnesses a Shocking Mid-Game Exit, Christmas Helmet Story, How does a Norcal Boy Become a Ram Fan? And you'll be "Taken Back" in Today's Rare Record Spin

Ever found yourself celebrating a Rams victory amidst a sea of Niners fans, drenched and ecstatic on a rainy night? Join me, Pat Walsh, in the 172nd episode of Pat's Peeps podcast as I recount the unforgettable experience of witnessing a Los Angeles Rams win in Niners territory, braving the rain and relishing the camaraderie of the opposing fans. From the cozy warmth of my studio nestled in Northern California's misty foothills, I reflect on the quirks of sports language, like the odd use of "merry" and "vaunted," and share how my strategy for respect and rapport with rival fans paid off in spades during an electrifying game. But the plot thickens as an unexpected twist takes center stage—De'Vondre Campbell of the 49ers quits mid-game, stirring memories of Antonio Brown’s infamous exit. Listen in as I draw parallels between these moments and spotlight the remarkable resilience of the Rams, particularly Kyron Williams, whose standout performance turned the tide. We then journey back to my childhood, a nostalgic trip fueled by the iconic Rams helmet that ignited my lifelong fandom, underscoring the unwavering loyalty to one’s team. Get ready for a year-in-review segment that promises to compile the most memorable athlete exits of 2024, ensuring this episode is one you won’t want to miss!
