Yo, yo, yo, what's up people? This is Inspire Guys, people at podcast where we balance faith in business to guide you to your purpose. I'm your host Jay Will. We're gonna have a good conversation tonight.

Listen, I'm here to tell you why your life is in shambles, like complete shambles because you don't listen to my podcast. Now, if you've been rocking with me, especially on Facebook, you know what I'm saying? We make some posts every day. By we, I mean me.

Like, you know, if you listen to the show long enough, I think you realize that sometimes I say we, maybe I'm like speaking faith manifestation of a team one day, but it's legit just me. So I don't know why I do that. But, you know, I make posts all the time about, you know, things that's messed up in your life because you don't listen to my podcast and y'all enjoy those posts. I'm happy y'all enjoy them.

But today I'm here to kick it with y'all like on some real stuff. I'm gonna give you five reasons why I'm dead serious. Like five reasons legitimately why your life might be in shambles because you're not listening to this podcast. But before we jump into that, you know what I'm saying?

How y'all been doing? Can I be real with y'all? I'm gonna be all the way real. I've been a little stressed like this.

Yo, it's been stressed lately. And like the crazy thing about social media is that like you think just because like I'm on here talking inspiration and stuff every day. Let me tell y'all something. That's like, y'all, I don't tell good or bad.

I'm just the kind of person I protect my privacy. You know what I'm saying? So I don't really, I'm here for one thing really to talk about inspiration and talk about faith and business. Other than that, do I tell y'all when I cut my grass?

No. Do I do the, oh we got, listen, let me tell you what I don't do. It's what I don't understand. Like I got to just tell y'all a couple things.

We gonna jump into a dope show today. Oh, I got five good reasons. We gonna go heavy, but I got to give y'all like just like I just got to kick it with y'all before we jump into the content. So it's something that y'all do on social media and I'm gonna just say y'all.

You know, I'm not talking about nobody in particular. These are things I just see. There's this thing that people do. And again, they do this because they don't listen to my podcast.

We're like people are showing you themselves walking. Like so like it'll be like it's like a slow motion walk with a quote. I'm lost. I'm legitimately lost.

Like how is walking success? Like we have gotten to the point people where we turn anything into success. There are people walking and putting a quote behind it. Oh, well, I have an idea.

Guess what? We're all successful in it. Let me just go record my grandma walking at the mall and then just throw a quote behind it. Y'all listen, I'm not here to judge y'all.

I love y'all. I really do. I just don't understand y'all. Like there are some things that we do on social media that for me, it just crosses a line of like, does this make sense?

You ever do something and like you like asking yourself like, does this actually make sense? So I'm the kind of person. I got to know why. Like if I'm going to do something, if I'm going to get into that bag where I'm like, if I'm going to hit y'all with a slow motion walk, first of all, I got a couple of questions.

Is somebody recording you doing this? Or did you sit your phone in a corner to record yourself walking? Um, I don't know. Maybe I'm just like outdated.

I'm not with the times because everything means success these days. And I think it's because y'all don't listen to my podcast. I really think that's why. But today we're going to talk about five reasons why your life isn't complete.

Oh, one of these reasons going to apply to you unless you've been listening. You know what I'm saying? If you've been listening, then you are good to go. Um, I told y'all I've been stressed.

This year has been for me. Um, there's been a lot of transition and a lot of changes. There's a lot of things like I said, I'm here on social media to talk about faith and business. I don't really give the whole like, what is it?

Step by step or take by take of my entire life. Like I cut the grass today. I trimmed the hedges. I've never put that on social media.

I'm not here to judge you for putting stuff on social media. I'm just simply making the point that like, um, sometimes people think when you are here talking about inspiration, faith and business that your life doesn't have ups and downs. Sometimes people think if you are successful that you don't have challenges somehow and I'm here to let you know that's a lot because like it's a bunch of stress and ups and downs that I have in life, a bunch of things I've had to learn and we've kind of walked through those things on the podcast. But um, lately for me, man, I started a new role at my job, my corporate job back in March.

At the same time, uh, I was moving. We were like, it was just, you know, you ever get to a point in your life where there's a lot of things happening at once and I'm going to tell you something. They don't have to be bad things to stress you up. Sometimes good things can stress you out.

You know what? Let's just jump into it. I got to jump into these five reasons why your life is in shambles. I can't even successfully do an intro because I feel the content just brewing on the inside of me is ready to come out.

Um, all right. So first things first, um, new levels ain't easy. That's the number one reason why your life is in shambles. I could just end the podcast, right?

New levels ain't easy. New levels ain't easy, fam. So here's the thing that I've learned in life. Everybody wants to go further until they experience what going further actually means.

So we live in this society. Um, where, can I just, can I just, let me, let me, can y'all tell me what type of people you all are tonight watching? Cause it's kind of late. Can I be real with y'all or y'all like to, y'all like to play around with it?

Y'all like to be fake or we got to be like super politically correct. If I challenge you, I got to be like, I'm just here to challenge you today. I want you to do better, but you don't really have to do better if you don't want to. If you already identify as better, then I guess you're already there and I shouldn't do, you know what?

I'm being rude. I'm being rude. I shouldn't challenge you. I'm the type of person I like to be challenged and I like to challenge people because I believe that actually makes you better.

So first things first, this is why your life is in shambles. You need to be listening to this podcast all the time. All right, new levels ain't easy, right? So this idea in life that, you know, you're just going to sit around like we some talkers, all right?

We live in a generation of talkers. That's what a lot of social media is. Again, we all make reels. I make content, YouTube shorts, all this stuff where we just talking.

But sometimes in order to experience the new level for real, you got to turn everything off for a season unless it's this podcast. Are you following me? No. All right.

So let me give you an example. Candy Crush. I used to play Mario Brothers back in the day, you know what I'm saying? When I was younger and you get to the end and you fighting for the princess and all this stuff and let me tell you something.

The last level is way harder than the first level. But here's what I learned in life. There's two types of people. Really, there's a thousand types of people.

But when you're talking and you're presenting something, you say things like there's two types of people to simplify the information so that the people listen and you have a better idea of understanding. Okay. That's what we do. So kind of rock with right here.

A couple different types of people. There are people who see difficulty and embrace it. Those are the type of people that listen to this podcast. You see difficulty and you understand that I'm going to fight King Koopa at the end of the game to free the princess.

But the journey from level one to level 50 or 1000 or whatever it is to get to the princess is worth it. Not only is the journey worth it, but the prize is worth it. I'm about to go get my girl. You feel what I'm saying?

So no matter how hard it is, it's actually fun playing the game. You give it up. You play the video game, play Candy Crush. You get to level 1000.

Even though it was harder, what happens is as you go from level to level to get further, you feel more accomplished. You feel like you did something like you like you are you, you show what your work. You showed your value. You showed a skillset.

That's the type of people that we talk to on this podcast. Now there's another type of person. And I want you to understand if you're that type of person, you probably don't listen to this show and this is why your life is in shambles and you do need to listen to the show. The type of people that see difficulty and straight away, they allow the fact that there is difficulty in a situation to cause them to not engage in a situation.

These type of people, I hate to say it, but I'm just a realist. I'm just going to kick it with you as late. It's probably like, I mean, who's watching this right now? You probably watching this, you're falling into your face, all that stuff.

It don't matter. Listen, those type of people who see difficulty and they get afraid, they never go anywhere. Now, I don't say that to be harsh. I say it to be real.

If you're a type of person that is at level one and you're saying to yourself, I want to get to level 50, but I want to get the girl. I want to get the princess, but I don't want Mario to have to fight the evil king coopa because I don't want Mario to get hurt. We live in a society that tries to create unrealistic resolutions, meaning creating the idea that you can get a prize without a process. You feel what I'm saying?

If you go after that type of thinking, if you believe that type of stuff, this is what I've learned. There is temporary relief in those type of things. We see those type of things in society now. Hey, print more money.

Give us a stimulus check that's temporary relief, but in a long term, we're going to experience inflation and all type of uncertainty in the world. High prices, all of those things are a result of just printing more money, printing more money. And this is what happens. We have conditioned ourselves to think when there is a problem, don't really go and solve the problem.

Just go and look for relief from someone. I'm going to make myself a victim. I'm going to want the government or somebody to come save me. I don't want Mario to get hurt fighting king coopa.

What I'm here to tell you is that new levels ain't easy. It's kind of a hard reality. It's not the easiest thing to hear. It's not, you know, what we look for a lot of times in life is we look for an easy way up.

We look for somebody to tell us, I think some of us, we're up on reels and shorts on YouTube and TikTok. We're watching these videos all day, every day so that somebody could tell us what we want to hear. So somebody could tell us what we already think we know. Yeah, we get to talk.

It get heavy in here. It get heavy on this podcast. You want somebody to tell you what you already think you know, and I'm here to tell you something different. Sometimes you got to be open to hearing something new, to hearing a new perspective, to hearing somebody challenge you and tell you something that you didn't want to hear, but it's proven to be right.

See, here's the thing about me. I'm just talking about, you know, I'm not talking about you. You can do whatever you want to do in life. You know, growing up for me, I look around my surroundings coming up in the inner city, east side of Detroit, you know what I'm saying?

And I'm like, all right, I'm looking around. Some people is different type of people. You feel me? You got to figure out who I want to be because new levels ain't easy.

There was a point when I looked around and everybody around me was dropping out of school. There was a point when I looked around and people who used to go to church started cussing. They started drinking. They started smoking.

I'm not here to judge you. I'm just telling you this really happened. This ain't me like, I ain't talking about nobody. I'm just telling you what, like I hate that we have to explain everything these days because we so offended by everything that is like, I got to literally like give you, I got to have small print disclaimers about my own life.

And I'm just kicking it about my actual life. There's a point in time when I was looking around and I saw different people doing different things. I saw people going the right way too, but I had to ask myself, which one are you? Who are you?

Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? All right, don't give me the preaching.

I'm gonna tell you all the sidebar. Sometimes I literally just YouTube Baptist preachers closing. I just pro, YouTube it is these guys go in. I said, who are you?

Who are you? All right, don't, it's late. Don't give me, y'all got me acting crazy. You got to ask yourself, who am I?

Am I the person that's gonna be at level one? Cause everybody around me is at level one. Sometimes people make it to level three and it gets so hard that they go back to level two and back to level one. I've been there too.

I've been around people where we were going a certain way in life and we were trying to do something and we were making progress, but it got difficult and it caused them to turn back. New levels ain't easy. Your life is in shambles because you're not listening to this podcast. If you listen to this podcast, I'm gonna tell you the real.

I'm gonna tell you exactly what it's about. And I had to ask myself, who are you? And I had to make a decision that I was going to take the risk of going to the next level and fighting King Cooper, Mario or Luigi to get my princess. See the thing about it is you first need to get something envisioned in your mind that you're going after.

Preferably is something that God wants you to go after, but we're gonna talk about that in another reason. Somehow we're still on reason number one because this content is so heavy, I want you to get everything you're supposed to get out of it. New levels ain't easy. So what happens is you have to ask yourself, who do you want to be?

Who are you? And then you have to be willing to go after that. Now here's the thing that makes it difficult, the thing that other people may not tell you when they're making the reel, when they want you to think that motivation and inspiration, you're just gonna get it tomorrow. People don't want you to know that there may be a moment in this process where it don't look like you're right.

Woo, ooh, it gets heavy. It gets heavy in here, bro. So there was a point in my life where I started going down a particular path. It was like this at some point in school for real.

I'm going to school. Some of my friends started dropping out of the college of business because the college of business right before we were going into our major, they started increasing like the, what is it? I can't think of the word. I can talk though.

I can't talk baby. Um, the requirements, the pre- I don't know what it is. You went from having to get a certain grade point average to another grade point average, don't judge me. But at the end of the day when, when it got more difficult, I had friends, no shade that were like, yo, we changing our major.

Yo, we not doing this. And I was like, who are you? Who are you? Had to ask myself who I was.

I'm like, I'm like, no, I'm here now. I'm about to grace a guy. I got my degree in business marketing. I finished something that I started and it wasn't easy.

I'm not here to act like it was easy. But what I'm telling you is this, that one decision, the one decision, bro, the one decision, I'm going to tell you something else. It could change everything. When I was in college, I was working in banking and I was in a college program for banking.

And the whole idea of this college program was when you graduated, you would be able, they were kind of training you while you worked there as a student. When you graduate, you would get an opportunity to work at the headquarters for a credit union, actually, not a bank. And so I worked in this credit union idea, loan processing, opened up accounts, all type of things at Oakland University, right? Three days before I graduated.

I had just done an interview, DMI interview to work at the headquarters. Then another Fortune 50 organization had reached that out to me that I had interviewed for back six months earlier, four or five months earlier, whatever it was. I think it was four or five months earlier. Actually didn't get the job first.

Interview in April didn't get the job. Here I am in August, graduating August 24th. It's August 21st. This Fortune 50 organization who had previously not given me a job calls me back three days before I graduate college and they say, we got a job for you right now, but you're going to start at the complete bottom.

And I was already going for the interview for the credit union and I had to make a decision. Do I go with the credit union? I'm working in headquarters, whatever, whatever. Or do I go to this Fortune 50 organization and start at the bottom?

And what I did was I went to the Fortune 50 organization because I saw that the long-term potential, the only thing I was concerned about coming out of college was what is my long-term potential? Where do I have the opportunity to grow to? Not where I'm at today. Yeah, today you at the headquarters and I'm at the bottom of the level, but 15 years from now, where am I going to be in this credit union?

Where am I going to be in this Fortune 50 organization? Here we find ourselves, you know, 15 years later. What's up, Gene, how you doing? Better late than never.

You know, you're like, you know, I can't say your life isn't shambles because I know you are a listener. So, you know, your life ain't a complete shambles, but the fact that you're late, literally late to listening to the podcast is proof that right now something is out of order and you need one of these five things that I'm going to talk about tonight. I'm here to correct you, challenge you all that, but you know that because you're listening. My point is I made a decision, I made a decision to go with the Fortune 50 organization for the long-term potential.

And here we are now, 15 years later. And I'm here to tell you that there was a point of time in the beginning of my time at this organization. I'm working at the complete bottom. There was a time where I questioned it if this was the right decision.

The point I'm making is new levels ain't easy and there are going to be times that you got to make a decision that's right for you for the long term, like you being in God's will, doing what you're following your purpose, your dreams, what God calls you to do. But you got to be willing to look like you wrong for a certain amount of time. You got to be willing to do it. Ashley, maybe what's up?

You said you was going to watch this podcast. Your kid better act right this week. Listen, Ashley, I'm here to tell you right now. See, I don't like to get too specific like that with the kid.

But what I can tell you is that if you listen to this podcast tonight, oh, you're going to get something out of it. Something's going to be better. Your kid might still act crazy because one episode don't usually, kids take at least 15 to 25 episodes. I'm going to be real with you.

Your kid ain't going to act right until you listen to 15 to 25 episodes. But your boss might treat you better this week if you listen tonight. So what up, Ashley? Thank you for rocking.

At the end of the day, my point is that there was a point of time through my process where I didn't look right, I didn't feel right. It didn't look like that. That was the right decision. Michelle, what up?

What up? Actually, I was about to call you tonight and then I'm on here. So I'm actually going to call you tomorrow. I'm going to catch up with you.

I actually say she want to see a fine print. Hey, listen, I'll listen. I'll see you the terms and conditions for the podcast later this week. Don't lie, whatever, Jen.

Listen, y'all, there was literally a point in time where I was second guessing my decision. I wasn't making a lot of money. I wasn't getting just promotions left and right. I was seeing people around me, some of the people who went different routes.

They were making more money. They had better cars. I'm just, this is literally, I'm trying to help somebody. In the short term, we get so caught up in the short term in this day and time where people are concerned about looking like they're right today.

I can't express to you how much through the 15 years, working at a Fortune 50 organization. I think I'm on my eighth job, my eighth role. So in 15 years, I've been promoted, if you will, seven times. A couple of those have been laterals depending on how you look at it.

My point is where I started 15 years ago in an organization isn't where I ended up today. And I'm not done growing. But at every level that I've gone to through in the past 15 years, every level, even though I might've came with more perks, maybe it came with a couple more dollars, maybe it came with some other benefits, but every single level that I've ever gone to has came with more challenges, has created more doubt. I had to reset and adapt and adjust at that level every time I got to a next level.

There was a time where I didn't know if I like, it was like, ooh, maybe, maybe, but then over time, y'all, you look back and you're like, wow. I had to endure looking like I didn't know what I was doing to get where God wanted me at. You feel me? Chris on demand.

What up, fam? My point is who are you? New levels ain't easy. Sometimes our lives are in shambles because we're afraid of the level.

We're praying to God, get me to the next level. And then you see how difficult it is. And you say, God, I don't want that because the problem with us is we want the fruit, but we don't want the tree. Like the tree had to go through some and had to grow through some.

It got branches. It got roots. It got all types of leaves and all types of other aspects to a tree, but we just want the fruit. All right.

Y'all ain't rocking with me. All right. What's the second? Oh, he on the other second.

What? I got it. It gets so heavy in here. It gets so real.

You know what I'm saying? Um, actually say new levels, new doubles. Listen, man, and sometimes the devil is you. Not true, Ashley.

I'm not not true. I'm saying in general, like sometimes we're in our own way. You feel what I'm saying? And those new levels, though, they do like they come with with so much, but.

Ooh, I got to say this before I move on. The one real important aspect is be careful who you're listening to because I think that sometimes we're only listening to other people who never been further than us. Now, this sometimes is a difficult thing to talk about because, again, people struggle with levels in progress. I don't struggle with that.

Like there are people that I have in my life that are mentors that are further along the meter are more successful, they're better leaders, they're more mature. Like they're all type of people that are around me that are further progressed in their process than me. And there's a lot that I learned from those people. I think one of the issues we can run into in life is when we surround ourselves with people that's at the same level as us.

So if you at level one and you surrounded by a whole bunch of level one people, when you start talking to them about going to level two, they're going to discourage you because all they know is level one. I'm going to give you a real life example. I got a couple friends. I'm not going to say their names.

You know what I'm saying? I leave a testimony up to them. I know they've listened to the podcast. I got a couple friends that, you know, over the past couple years, man, three friends come to mind right now off rip.

And this is what happens, y'all. You got to understand some of you, my friend in real life. You're actually living the podcast in real time, or every day with me. And you probably screen in my calls or don't want to talk to me about certain stuff because I'm giving them the same energy.

I'm giving my friends this same energy. Energy energy energy. Whoo. They get this.

They don't always like it. Um, so, so let me, let me see three friends come to mind. And that's right. Actually, you stay stuck when you get around those type of people and they don't want to go nowhere.

So you stuck these three friends that come to mind. I can think of times over the last couple of years that they all came to me and I challenged them that they should be trying to go after management and their job. I've challenged my friends. You should be a manager.

Each of my friends, three friends come to mind. We talking to like just in the last, since 2020, talking the last couple of years, they all said the same thing. They all told me I don't want to be a manager because I don't want to deal with the responsibility of management. And here's the thing and I'm not trying to, I just got to be honest with y'all.

I'm not this ain't about it. So hard to say stuff like this, but tonight I'm just going to be all the way. I'm keeping it extra crispy with you. Right.

It's late. We might as well keep it extra crispy because they had a friend that was already beyond the level that they were at. I wasn't talking in them at level one level. I was talking to them to get them to level two and beyond.

And there are different type of friends in your life. Some people talk to you to keep you where you at. I'm telling you right now. If you know me at all, you already know.

I'm not talking to where you at. I'm talking to where we trying to get you. And I challenged all of those friends again and again and again. And I said, the reason you don't want the responsibility of management is because you don't understand what comes with it from a benefit standpoint.

So I have friends who were staying at a certain level because that was all they ever knew and nobody around and whatever challenged them. And every time they gave their weak excuses as to why they didn't want to be a manager as to why they didn't want to grow. Nobody would look them in their eyes and tell them that they're out of their mind. And that's exactly what I told them all.

That's why you so broke you out of your mind. You waht in your mind. Yeah, I'm a scene to you, bro. Y'all don't want me to be our friend.

That's the thing. That's listening. Actually, you don't really. I don't know, Ashley, you say that, but I don't know.

My friends don't always seem to love it when I'm telling them they're out of their mind because so you're going to stay making X amount of dollars for the next 10 years because you're scared to be a leader. What? What? What?

What? Where? We don't do that around here. Be careful listening to people who ain't went nowhere and ain't going nowhere.

The reason you need to find some people to speak into your life and talk to you who've been somewhere. All right. Let me just plug the podcast because I'm telling you life is in shambles. It ain't just about me.

Yes, I've grown through a corporate career. I've done some entrepreneurial things like that. I've had a lot of failures as well. We talk about my failures as well.

We don't. I don't tell all my business good or bad. This is not about just let me tell you all of my business. No, I try to share things that are relevant to you to help you throughout your process.

But here's what I will tell you. I've also interviewed so many people. Now, this isn't on the video podcast, but if you go on Apple podcast, I've interviewed a CEO of financial company, a bank. I've interviewed the innovation director, Gabby Hanbar's, Gabby Hanbar's is like blowing up all over Instagram right now.

They were just on my show like two months ago before the summer started. I've interviewed people who've been accidents, people who have overdosed on drugs and almost died. I've interviewed people who struggle with different diseases, who started businesses. And so what happens through these interviews, because we're focusing on inspiring guys, people, you are going to get people to speak into your life, who are already at a level beyond you and it's going to cause you, it's going to cause something in you.

This is what happens when you listen to this show. Something on the inside of you. It's the show as a catalyst. It likes to fire.

It strikes a match. It causes something that's already there to start like revving up. And now you get this energy to go and be better. That's why I interview people and we don't talk about how much money they make or what kind of car they drive or how big or small their house is because it doesn't matter.

You don't need all that to be inspired. You don't. Oh, yeah, Gabby Hanbar's they check it out. I think the show, the episode is actually called Gabby Hanbar's, but they were just on.

We just interviewed them like two months ago. Shana, what up? What up? What up?

Shana, no, what's up? She didn't. She heard. Shana, what you think you heard?

75% of the shows. I don't know. I don't want to give you too much credit. You know what I'm saying?

But hopefully it's brought some value to your life. All right, let's keep it moving. So the second reason your life is in shambles and you need to listen to this podcast is because inspiration is greater than entertainment. There is so much entertainment in our lives today.

And I'm not here just to like bash entertainers or anything like that. But the thing about entertainment is that that's what it does. It distracts or entertains you in a moment. But then after that, entertainment is like a it's like if somebody just hired something and it goes away and you got to go back to reality.

And we have seen to have fallen and I'm talking specifically the Christians right now. Christians have fallen in love with being entertained. But the thing about it is if you are a person that just does nothing but entertain yourself, your life will be in shambles. Oh, it will be in shambles.

Oh, it will be in shambles. Yeah, your life will be in shambles. Um, here's why. Let me say this before I say that.

When I talk about inspiration on inspire guys, people, there are a couple of things I want you to have in mind. We're not just talking about fluffy. Oh, I want to be inspired. Oh, inspire me.

J. No, we're talking about a godly, godly inspiration. We're talking about biblical inspiration. Right.

You get what I'm saying and we're talking about sound when I say biblical and I'll get into that. We're talking Christian. You feel what I'm saying? A lot of what happens today and I'm going to say this like a friend sent me Instagram real today and it was like a famous rap producer that everybody knows and I don't have to say their name because it doesn't matter the name, but they're an entertainer and they were talking about what God has for you is for you and they were saying these things that sound good.

They sound inspiring. Why? Because this person is successful. And for some reason when entertainers talk, we listen.

And I think it's because what happens is entertainers throw their stuff in your face and most of us respond to stuff, but that's why your life is in shambles. You know, listen to this podcast because on this podcast, we don't throw stuff in your face. I am not trying to convince you to listen to me because I have a nice chain or a nice car or that I make X amount of dollars. It doesn't matter.

It does not matter. The principles that I'm talking about are straight facts. That's what matters. And we're laying out a blueprint and giving you information that help you better yourself.

It doesn't what happens is I heard this entertainer. He was talking all this stuff about what God has for you as for you. This person does not create Christian content does not create content that pushes anyone closer to God does not live an openly godly lifestyle. I don't know what he does behind the scenes.

I know that people like to say, well, that's about to be. I don't know. It doesn't. I don't know.

If you are a porn star publicly and behind the scenes a minister, it doesn't matter. What you do in public does matter. Like, that's not a good excuse guys. I stopped saying why do we say stuff?

It's not, but it's not good. Jay. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense.

Asana says, she's definitely a Facebook listener who has benefited tremendously from the inspiration and wisdom show. Thank you so much, Lishana. Wow. We should have you comment more.

Please that their life is not in shambles because they listen to Spider-Gods people. Oh, I like that. This episode needs to be a panel discussion. Ashley Mais is.

I like that idea. And I am going to get back to some panels just so y'all know I'm trying to wait to the fall. Not that we've been doing video. I've been super busy.

I've been stressed. I've got all kinds of stuff going on. So we are definitely going to get to back to interviews. And I like the idea of a panel discussion as well.

So what happens is these entertainers, they can just talk like their Christians, Derek Gregory. What up fam? How you doing, bro? Thank you for the tapping in.

You know what I'm saying? The entertainer, I saw the Instagram reel. He's talking about what guy has for you. He's talking all this positive stuff.

But like what I'm telling you all is that inspiration is greater to entertainment. Like I'm not here to just simply entertain y'all. And I think the problem for a lot of us is that we've bought into this idea of entertainment. We've bought into this idea that, yo, they throw their things in our face.

They throw all their material things in our face and all that stuff. And that's what we want to go after. And what I'm telling you is book all that we don't do all that over here. I'm not throwing that in your face.

Number one, that stuff don't always mean nothing. I could be driving in a $100,000 car and putting pictures of it on Instagram and videos every day and telling you God is good. And some of y'all are thinking, y'all are be like, oh, that's God. Well, you don't know if I'm checking out my credit.

You don't know if my wife and God food to eat. And I'm too busy trying to buy the car for y'all. I am not impressed by material things that don't come with some type of perspective behind it. And the problem I have is that we are chasing entertainment because it feels good.

But what this show is about, it is about guyly inspiration, trying to give you information to better yourself. I'm telling you like this 1,000%. I just told you all about them three friends that didn't want to be managers and didn't want to go into new jobs and all that in the last two years. All of them have gone into new jobs.

All of them, all of them have gone into new jobs. That's what we do with inspire guys, people. We're not here to just like, oh, if listen, y'all, if I just entertain you and show off stuff that I have or don't have, what does it do for you? Some of us have heard every Jay Z album ever and still don't have a mic back.

Like you didn't rap about it in the club, listen in the hist up. Jay Z ain't told you. He might have told somebody in a circle. He might have told his friends, his family, whatever Jay Z.

And this ain't no shot at Jay Z, but I'm just telling Jay Z, you didn't listen to every album and you don't have a chin chiller that you can afford. Now, what some of us do if we're going to be real, yo, Josiah, what's up? If we're going to be real, what some of us do is these rappers and entertainers, they rap about Gucci and Ferrari and Fendi and whatever else that I don't know. What is it?

McQueen is the thing that I'm seeing now. They rap about these brands and we go running by them, but we can't afford them. And the difference between inspiration, what we do here, entertainment is entertainment, entertainment makes you feel good. They rap to you.

They say to you, you go by the stuff that copied them. But then you don't live the lifestyle they live. What we talk about on inspire guys, people, we're about creating disciples. We're about inspiring other people to go after guys playing for their life.

The reason I talk to you about the progress that I've had, look, I'm going to be 100% with your podcast. I tell people all the time, my life is private. My strategy is public. If you ever see me in real life on any level of success and you want to know how I did it, listen to this podcast because I was literally doing it.

This is the part that they don't understand. This is the part that they don't get. Why don't they get it? I don't know.

Why don't they get it? They won't watch or listen to the show. The part that y'all don't understand, man. Ooh, Stephanie, trying to impress people who don't know them or care about them.

I like that. I like that a lot. The part that people don't understand is this. When I have guests on this podcast, when we talk about stuff on this podcast, I don't have to throw nothing in your face at all.

Just know that I'm doing the stuff that I'm talking about. And I give the blueprint to people for free, not just my blueprint. We interview people. We get their blueprint.

We put it out for free so that you can better yourself because I'm so tired of being entertained and I get nothing out of it. I bought every album. I went to your concert. I spent all the money.

I bought your T-shirt. Yo hat. Yo, I streamed on music. I did all that.

And then I go home to a 300 credit store and my dog hungry and embark and bid off the bottom of the couch and scratch the hole in the wall because I left them and he was on the cheap chain and broke the chain and the neighbors is mad because I ain't cut my grass and my wife is mad because she ain't seen me all week. And I'm working overtime and steel broke, but I'm driving the bins and I wear my queen and Gucci. But I don't have no money in the bank and no benefits. And like I can't afford to do nothing because I'm so entertained.

I don't know the difference between Genesis one and one and Exodus three and five. I don't know. All I know the entertainer said that God is good all the time and I think I just believe that because he said it. But I actually read the Bible for myself and we got all these things and our lives are in shambles because we are allowing ourselves to be entertained by people that quite frankly, this is going to hurt.

Dagger. Oh. This is about to hurt. This is something I've thought about before.

I've thought about it. What do I tell you? Um. This is going to hurt.

There's no, there's no way to say this, but to just say it. So you got people that let's use, I don't want to use actual people. I don't already use Jay-Z. I don't really like to use actual people because this show ain't really, I believe in principles and things like that.

I don't even have to say names. But sometimes saying names, it makes it a sanger. So I'm going to use Beyonce's name. Just as a stinger.

This is probably wrong. I'm only doing this because it's late. If you're listening to the show when Apple podcast later, you're like, he used some by name. He don't use to talk about people.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just out of it right now because it's getting late. Here's something I think about. There are people who worship Beyonce.

Worship her, right? And some of these people are at level one. Let's just say people who like, I love the hood. I ain't never moving out of the hood.

Like you will sell out if you move out of the hood. Okay, cool. All right. But you listen to people and you buy their CD, you listen to all their songs, you argue for them on social media.

And let's be real. Do you think their kid is going to go to your kid's school? Do you think their kid is going to come over your house and play? Do you think they're going to be in your neighborhood without being in an unmarked Tahoe and having 70 security officers with him?

Here's another dagger. I was watching some TV show recently or no, no, it was a YouTube video. I was looking at the gallery of mall in Houston because I was thinking about taking a trip to Houston for a weekend. And I've never been in Houston, but I've never been in that mall.

And then it's YouTube video. They were talking about the celebrities. They actually said Beyonce's name. They said when Beyonce wants to shop at this mall, she shuts the mall down to come shopping here.

And I asked myself, well, this is the person that everybody's worshiping? Why she ain't shopping with y'all? This is the craziest part to me, y'all. People are entertained by people who literally are telling you through their actions.

I'm better than you. My kids are better than your kids. Stay away from me if we're not in a protected environment. I'll never come near you.

Love ya. Dagger. All right, it hurts. I might have to end the show early.

I'm going too far. Mayday, mayday, the plane is going down. They're canceling me now. It's over.

Yo, yo, yo. I don't know what's wrong with me. What up, Erica? Tanya, do you feel me?

You say not be. You want me to calm down, yo, Beyonce? I know y'all love Beyonce, man. I got nothing against these people.

I really don't. I don't. The way I see it is, hey, Beyonce ain't listening to my podcast, so it doesn't matter to me. Let's see.

How much shopping would she get done? I mean, she... Listen, Jean, I thought about the logistics as well, but here's the thing. You got to understand, though.

I'm not the kind of person that makes excuses for situations or try. I'm not saying that to... Let me not excuse this. I'm not saying that say anything but the truth.

Like, so you got to understand too. There are people who literally imagine worshiping... Okay, let me go back to my original point. There are people that will judge a normal person for leaving the hood or going to do better for themselves and call them a sellout, but yet they will worship somebody and consider that person real and for the culture and for the people and that person won't come nowhere near you.

So I'm not dealing with the fact of whether she can or can't or all that. I'm just saying she won't and don't call a regular everyday average Joe who wants to better themselves a sellout unless you're going to call all your favorite entertainers sellouts because they buy homes in Beverly Hills and gated communities and they ain't... You not just by pull up on them. You feel what I'm saying?

That's all I'm saying. So what I'm saying is like, let's not judge average Joe people who decide I want something better for myself and that happens. That happens a lot. Like people will judge you for wanting to do better but then worship somebody else for doing better.

So it's like, wait, we get to idolize them for doing better but you want my kids to just stay in the work school system ever? All right, I'm sorry. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, man. All right, so we are number three and I'm going to breeze through the last ones.

Number three reason why your life isn't shambles because you don't listen to my podcast and this is a benefit of listening to the podcast because we promote emotional intelligence. This is balance. And when I really think about it, there are a couple of things that we do. Number one, we try to hear both sides.

You don't jump to conclusions. So if you listen to this podcast during 2020, for instance, during 2020, it was very easy for everybody to jump on board talking about the same topics. There was a bunch of racial division in the country. I mean, so much racial, racial tension.

It was, you know, I'm not even going to get into everything that was going on. I'm talking outside of COVID. You thought COVID on top of that, that was just like horrible. There was a lot of tension happening.

I challenge you, go on Apple podcast, search inspire guys, people. Listen to the, listen to the content that we were putting out in 2020. Oh, I stand on that. I stand on that.

See, the thing about it is like I said earlier, most people want to be just right today. In 2020, it was a time and frame where I was feeling like I talked about earlier with a new levels, ain't easy. And I was saying, I don't want to sound right today. I want to do and say what I believe is right in the long term.

And so while everybody else was talking about racial divide and racial tension, I was talking about being united by faith. I was talking about whether you white or black, if you are a believer, the blood of Jesus is more powerful than any of this other stuff that we're letting divide us because I saw Christian starting to be divided. So I had conversations with people. I had conversations behind the scene with many other white listeners who listen to inspire guys.

People had difficult questions. People were confused and concerned. I talked to my black friends about how they feeling about this and now I talked to my white friends or listeners about this and that. And the thing that I learned at the end of the day was that with everything going on in the world, it takes emotional intelligence to step back and hear God and say, Lord, what do you want me to say right now?

And the reality of it is I had friends. I had people like several white listeners, inspire guys, people who might have started the conversation one way. And when we had a balanced conversation, it ended differently. And it ended in a better place than where they started because what we got to believe as, but what we got to understand as believers is that when the world isn't shambles in all over the place, God needs you to have your head on straight.

And some of us were just too busy following everything that everybody else was doing and jumping right on board and we were losing track of what God's word says. We always elevate God's word here. It's God's word over how we feel. And emotional intelligence and balance is about having that ability to do that.
