Ep. 174: Unforgiven

With Pale Rider we talked about how Clint Eastwood was able to modernize certain western tropes for the modern era. That concept is something he perfects in 1992's Unforgiven. The 90's Western is often seen as the Eastwood's Magnum Opus, and it's hard to dispute that. It was released to rave reactions from audiences, lauded by critics, and got Eastwood his first Oscar for both Best Picture and Best Director.
