Before the pandemic, his stage adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird, starring Jeff Daniels as Atticus Finch, had turned into one of the the great Broadway shows of all time. His latest film, which he wrote and directed, is The Trial of the Chicago 7. It has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, along with Sorkin’s fourth Best Screenwriter Oscar for the script.
