If you listened to episode 18 of Radio Rebellion you might have noticed an abrupt jump when we started discussing the new rumored Disney Plus series. Sorry about that. We went back and re-recorded the news of Leslye Headland possibly writing and serving as showrunner for a "female-centric" Star Wars TV series taking place in a different timeline than other SW projects. We hypothesis in hyperspace on what or when this new series might take place.

income transmission. Happy Sunday everyone and welcome back to episode 18.20 of Radio Rebellion a Star Wars podcast. You listened to episode 18 yesterday or later whenever you get a chance to catch up on it you'll see that about 10 minutes in when we start talking about the room or new Disney plus Star Wars series it cuts and jumps into our main Clone Wars review. I guess during the main during the live podcast the video started kind of bleaching and it had a lag and when we finish uploading to YouTube we kind of cut that part out which I guess is for the best you guys want to spend 10 minutes just watching me out.

So I decided to go back and record this point so hopefully we don't have any issue right now and let's see what happens. So yes um so I'm reading from Star Wars newsnet and they are saying that Hollywood reporter and variety are reporting that Roger and Dolph go creator and coach runner Leslie Helene has been hired to develop a new Star Wars series for Disney Plus. That link is an accomplished playwright screenwriter director producer having worked in the television industry for the last 10 years in various capabilities. Roger and Dolph you can catch it on Netflix it won a few awards this past year.

I've seen most of the first season and it's really good. It's a different take on that kind of kind of make kind of scenario. So I kind of fell off from it not because I didn't enjoy it. I use I watch it with my wife and it's hard sometimes to find time to watch shows that both of us like and other things that are happening so we gotta get back and finish it.

But yeah she's a great writer, great producer that shows it's again pretty good show so you haven't checked it out on Netflix you want to give it a chance. I think it's been season 2 is coming up soon. I keep really here from Star Wars news net details of the exact plot of the series are being kept on the reps always. We're here from Lucasfilm or Disney or Leslie Helene herself this is all rumors so exact plot details have been kept on the rep but sources say it will be a female centric series that takes place in a different part of the Star Wars timeline that all the projects that's the key.

So different timelines so we're gonna come back to it and talk about what that might mean. All the reports are also stating there's gonna be an action thriller with martial arts elements. Martial arts elements you can take that different a bunch of different ways Star Wars with the like saber steps and all that stuff. I'm not sure how much of art element but the action thriller thriller might be a little bit different.

So of course this is great news give me all the Star Wars TV shows that you want we have a bunch so we're gonna go through them and start hypothesizing in hyperspace like I like to call it and see what we can come up. So yeah let's talk about this and when you guys have a chance to watch this jump in the comments give me your opinions or theories what you think that this show might be what timeline what characters of course when the mentions are female center we start going through all the female characters that we know in Star Wars but there's a bunch more comments so that's it. So the current Disney plus Star Wars project that we know of are Mandalorian season two and season three which happened after Return of the July. We have the Cassian andor Rogue One prequel which is right before and you hope so it's doing that same original trilogy kind of era.

There's timeline and I can always series which about five or six years I believe after Return of the Sith so that falls kind of between prequel or real trilogy so that's timelines that we already have projects going on so it should not be in this timeline and that's fine. We know already but what are the other room on Disney plus projects we have room on again Ahsoka series we have Mandalorian spin-off that they said might come from characters after season two on the Soka one we don't know exactly what time it might fit most likely will be after Rebels which is after we're gonna be Jedi with her and Sabine going to the Unknown Regions Mandalorian again this is original trilogy kind of timeline it might be a real bit before we have the depending which characters they want to focus on and then we have the room on Doctor Afra series. Afra also takes place during the original trilogy I haven't really read anything about Doctor Afra in terms of her comics I don't know that she's this explorer kind of in Anna Jones type so she does read the action trailer vibe and she's also getting an audiobook into life kind of retelling her introduction to the Star Wars universe so maybe the Doctor Afra trains Star's role in a little bit quicker so we'll see so all the possible timelines and I put this out there on Twitter for you guys who kind of female thoughts are of course a high republic and I got the most votes which 45% after episode nine and that really didn't get any votes um the Unknown Regions again I put the Unknown Regions there because we don't know how time kind of works in the Unknown Regions we saw X ago and how gravity and all that is all messed up so who knows maybe a different timeline might mean Unknown Regions and then we can get the room on Soka series we serve in in search of Ezra and Thrawn so that'll be cool that got 36% and then Doctor Afra because we don't know why it might fall and then all their got 18% so I would get out and I don't know that I think I would hope I would like I don't want to remind up too high and then something else happens that it happens to the High Republic era we have the High Republic books coming out this summer this room or tv series won't come out for a couple of years I'm sure so it gives us enough time to start getting into know the characters and new characters introduced in the High Republic so we'll see what happens and we know there's a lot of female Jedi they're gonna be we have about race which is the main one and I forgot her name the one from the Justina Ireland book series her name the I think is green with kind of purple hair and then there's another Jedi that kind of looks like Raffa Famaitez with that and a little bit like mine right now I'm sorry that kind of blank not their name which doesn't sound good because I have a Star Wars trivia to do after this this is not about the High Republic but all those I are different timelines female centric or female leads and I'm sure there's gonna be other characters that might be in front of the High Republic books oh that's a high probability after episode nine if you want to introduce a new character a new part of that universe or the collecting a different timeline after episode nine we are just brand new we know nothing about that era so who knows and then unknown regions that's the other bit are they confusing these reports when they say timeline maybe they need a different different sector of the universe instead of different timeline and this would put a soca and the unknown regions right there so that's another high bet and if it's false in line with martial arts element we know that soca has notes action thriller maybe it's a chase trying to find thrones and as rest of it can be an action thriller so that soca series is also a high bet so well thing so that's basically the news for Leslie Headlands kind of Disney plus Star Wars series so what do you guys think is this something that excites you know you kind of done without Star Wars series already have a convention on the Lawrence season two and three Cassian and Obe probably a soca do we need another one yes of course we do and this is gonna be years years in the future but i got to mention that Star Wars future was gonna be in the tv and they're kind of setting the slate for the next five six years so yeah start putting them on pre-production start getting the ball rolling and what do you hear more about it so as always go down in the comments let me know what you guys think if you're listening to this on the audio podcast jump on twitter at radio rebel pod gimme your thoughts and yeah hopefully next week we don't have any issues and we can have a nice steady stream so as always stay safe be safe and may the force be with you
