Kim holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a specialization in Reading and a Minor in Business Administration, and an M.S. in Nonprofit Leadership from Our Lady of the Lady University. Kim recently achieved an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard’s Kennedy School for Executive Education. She has is a Certified Parent Trainer in the Nurturing Program curriculum, is a Licensed Director with the Department of Family and Protective Services, holds her Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP) certification and Performance Measure Process (PuMP) certification both from George Washington University College of Professional Studies. Mrs. Jefferies was named as a Top 40 Under 40 (2012), a Woman of Impact (2020), and a Top CEO (2021) by the San Antonio Business Journal. Driven by her personal mission statement, Mrs. Jefferies believes in giving back through her professional and personal career. Throughout her career, Mrs. Jefferies has served on the various community associations and councils with such as the United Way Successful Children’s Issue Council, the Headstart Assessment Subcommittee, Baby Court Council, the Blue Ribbon Task Force, the Interagency Children’s Policy Leadership Council, and the Big Give S.A. Planning Committee. Kim served as the Secretary for the Nonprofit Council of San Antonio, serving for 6 years on the Executive Committee, previously serving as the Membership Chair (2010-2011) for three years and as Chair (2011-2013). Mrs. Jefferies represented her previous agency for 6 years serving in a leadership capacity in a community-wide pilot program headed up by the Kronkosky Foundation on a collective impact initiative to improve the service system for children with Autism in Bexar and surrounding counties, titled Autism Links for Life. Kim chaired the Autism Lifeline Links’ Metrics Committee for 5 years and participated in the Public Policy workgroup. Kim is a member of Rotary San Antonio as well. In 2017, Kim served as a mentor for the San Antonio Area Foundation’s Andeavor Fellows Program. Ms. Jefferies has also served on numerous committees and in various roles at her church, Our Savior Lutheran. In the fall of 2014, Kim fulfilled a lifelong dream of completing a mission trip in Malawi, Africa conducting a comprehensive assessment of the current educational system environment for children with disabilities to inform future program and mission planning for the Kingdom Workers agency.
