Your fans are people.  They follow you and listen to your music because of what you represent.  Your message resonates with something that is deep within them. Therefore, if you are able to build your dream fan avatar, and know your dream fans interests, likes, dislikes, problems they have, situations they are going through, etc. then you are able to talk to them in a more effective way.  With your dream avatar in mind when you are writing songs, it will make it easier for you to write songs, because you know exactly who those songs are for.
