Everyone tells us to follow our passions. Though they were following their passions in pursuing music, all the sex, parties, and alcohol led to their eventual burnout. They were ready to quit music. My piece of advice was to go back in the past, to the ancient philosophies of the Greeks, of Marcus Aurelius. What I find there is the complete opposite of what our modern day society preaches us about following our passions.
