Show Notes: This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Ron and Harrison Magid. Ron is an FX journalist and screenwriter who is the founder of The Halloween Society which was a horror-related magazine in the 80’s. He tells me all about the incredible people he interviewed, including one-on-one interviews with people like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, and his quest to see every horror movie ever made. And inspired by his father’s work in the business, Harrison is making a documentary about The Halloween Society and his dad’s work. We talked about whether or not his dad inspired him to go into filmmaking, the very young age at which he first saw Nosferatu, and why he thinks horror is life affirming.
