Now living in the Netherlands with his girlfriend, Chris reflects on the trauma of his childhood, when his mother endured sexual abuse and his father, a people pleaser, allowed emotional abuse in the family. After his father’s passing this year, Chris was propelled to overcome his imposter syndrome and launch his own podcast as a way to process and share his experiences. In this episode, we explore the themes of isolation and feeling ignored, and how these challenges have driven Chris to empathy, kindness, and a deep understanding of the problems others face.
