Ep. 19 Making Better Midlife Decisions

from Midlife Maps

Ah, the Jungle of Decision-Making. One we step in to, then out of, then back in to... And of course, the more time we take to decide, the more anxious we become until eventually we freeze - a sense of overwhelm shutting down our ability to move forward. It's ironic that although the quality of our lives is predominantly composed of us making decisions relating to our work and relationships, we give little thought as to how we arrive at these decisions. In fact, our decision-making processes often lack rituals or procedures. This can be particularly dangerous if we're making decisions within a group, as ethical considerations may be ignored in pursuit of a quick, 'unanimous' decision. So, how do we consistently make good decisions within this tangled, confusing jungle? Well, let's find a map to navigate that!
