Paddy McInnes is part of the engine room for the NZ Elite Mens Eight. Outside of his hectic life as a full time rower, Paddy keeps bees; along with his flatmate, Paddy is slowly building up a bee empire in the Waipa. In this discussion we talk over what its like to be on the starting blocks for the World Champs of the Men’s Eight, what it takes to be an Elite rower and the secret behind Paddy going from a social rower in his last two years of high school to making it to the upper echelon of the Mens 8 final, as well as racing in front of the Royal Family at Henley.
