In the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh reside my 2 dear friends - Suneel & Amala. You met Suneel in the last episode and in this episode, you'll meet my dear friend Amala Rai, a theatre educator and curriculum developer by profession: CEO & Founder of Amala's Programme for Theatre. I met Suneel & Amala in 1984 during our play "Kath Ki Gadi" after which they moved to Mumbai. Later in 1992, I followed suit and this 39 yrs of life long friendship continues to flourish. Whenever you see me in Himachal Pradesh, it is the dream home of Suneel & Amala called 'Bliss' where I find a loving abode. I am so happy as you meet the people who are my family... Apart from being an incredibly talented person, Amala is someone who is affectionate, hardworking and has the tenacity to face life head-on, follow her dreams and turn them into reality. About 30 to 35 years back Suneel and Amala decided to leave Mumbai forever and create a home and a life in the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh. But this change came with its own set of challenges yet how did Amala negotiate through those challenges to create her dream life, this conversation is about that spirit of resilience.
