Ep. 19 - Why is it a Healing Journey?
from The Intentional Athlete Podcast · host Ross Leppala
Even wonder why they call it a healing journey? When do we become healed? Is it even possible to become 'healed'? In this episode host, Ross Leppala talks about some of his perspectives on why it's a journey and not a destination. What it would take or rather what it would look like to become truly healed. A concept that to him seems like a fairly far stretched idea when we consider the amount of trauma we face on a regular basis. Not to mention the extreme trauma created at large with war, depression, slavery, and other severe forms of generational trauma that occur to a large population of society. Also in this episode is the powerful tool of forgiveness and what that can do for the person on the receiving end of the trauma. It's important to come to an understanding that forgiveness is NOT about letting a person off from their responsibilities and actions, it's about learning to set the pain down and move forward from that.
