Ep 191: The Godfather of Special Tactics- CCT CMSgt (ret) Wayne Norrad

Send us Fan Mail Before there was Air Force Special Tactics, there was Chief Master Sergeant retired Wayne Norrad. Chief Norrad started his career before the Air Force knew exactly what Combat Control was going to be and ended his career as the Second AFSOC Command Chief, and the accepted Godfather of what we know Special Tactics to be today. Chief Norrad is the definition of the word "legend", which is why we asked him to come on and tell us his story; it was so amazing we had to break it into 2 parts! Huge thanks to Chief Norrad, we truly appreciate his impact on Combat Control and Air Force Special Tactics as a whole! We already have Round 2 in the books- be on the lookout for that one to drop, in the Legends series! 00:00 Check out AFSPECWAR.com for the most up-to-date info 01:52 Chief Norrad's Backstory 20:10 How did CCT and PJ become Special Tactics? 31:30 Chief Norrad's impact on the Panama missions and awards program 38:00 AFSOC's Second Command Chief 52:00 The AFSOC Parachute Team 1:01:00 The Combat Control Association beginning! 1:08:00 Chief Norrad's Advice Don't forget to subscribe to the Podcast on your favorite player! http://bit.ly/2OG2Olf Have a question?
