Ep 2: Can I follow my faith without giving up my reason (and vice versa)?

from Faith Still Seeking · host Kelly Wilson, Christian writer & theology scholar

(NEW EPISODE) This episode explores the dynamic tension between faith and reason. Religion asks us to believe things we can't prove with scientific evidence, but science doesn't rule out the mystical and experiential. How does a person have an honest faith that is also intellectually rigorous? Kelly Wilson is a writer, podcaster, and the co-creator/co-host (with Mark Dilcom) of the podcast Radical Love Live. Kelly is a committed Christ-follower and confirmed Episcopalian who lives in the space between the foundations of Evangelicalism and the inclusive expansiveness of mainline, Progressive Christianity. Despite the differences, he hopes that the world will come to know us Christians by our love. Kelly is also grateful to musician Steev Rx to be able to use the song "Purpose," as the theme song for this series. Steev RX is an alt pop/trap musician with roots in the Southwest emo scene in Arizona, and his music can be heard on Spotify and other platforms, as well as on his website at https://steevrx.com. [The first time I heard this song--the authentic questions, and the genuine faith that infuses it, raw language and all--I knew it had to be theme for this show!] To find out more about my work, you can find me at my website www.kellywilson.com, and I'm @kelywilsn on FB, Instagram, and X. Shut Up I Love It Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello Many years ago, Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello met in line for an improv show. They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what. Here, they’ve teamed up to bring you a podcast where they interview a guest who passionately defends something universally hated, misunderstood, forgotten, overlooked, Mandela-effected, canceled—you name it. The key? They LOVE it. From toupees... to B-movies... to aliens, psychedelics, and the occasional surprise character, Sasha and Joe are here to spread love to the world that birthed them (but maybe should’ve used protection). So come and get that love because no one else will give it to you like we do.Also, don’t forget to check out the Patreon Bonus version of the show:https://www.patreon.com/c/ShutUpILoveItP Explicit Needless to Say... NTS Podcast In a world full of social divide, does anyone really need another comedy podcast starring four guys in a garage? According to Craig, Brad, Matt and Dave, yes ... yes they do.So, if you were into Opie and Anthony when they got along, Howard Stern when he wasn’t star-humping, or Ron Bennington when he still had a Fez, Needless to Say might be exactly what you’re looking for. Explicit Ambiance Saba Hoghooghi hey guys,I'm Saba, A passionate 19 year-old.I haven’t always been like this though, I have struggled with mental health growing up and I still do on a daily.have created this avenue to give out advices and talk about all the weird things that go on on my mind along with my inspirations in life such as singing, art, weight lifting, psychology and spirituality.I want to help you through life moments as well as being somebody that you relate to.my honor is to grow with you guys.you've got a friend me 🧚‍♀️ always and forever. Same format, the same humour, and poking more fun at the woke entertainment industry. The ongoing battle between "woke" players, big studios, shady producers, and major corporations trying to buy pop culture influence, has turned into a culture war. On one side, there are people like us who just care about good stories, without the influence of tick-box agendas being forced upon us through films, pop culture, comics, video games, and more. On the other side, bad actors are trying to influence everything we enjoy and consume, while we just want to be entertained. As entertainers, we should be able to escape the daily grind of politics, but unfortunately, we are constantly being pushed with political agendas from the minute we wake up to the minute we go to bed. Some of us just want to enjoy a good story without any political influence, but when creators say things Explicit
