Ep 2: Maria Ortiz

Maria Ortiz is one of the more exceptional businesswomen in America. Maria’s incredible work skills and dedication to excellence in the world of insurance are directly attributed to life lessons learned from her hard-working mother, Maria’s Cuban heritage and their winning attributes. Her inspiring word for 2023 is “intentional” which means be intentionally present when you’re with your kids or likewise at work. She shares the inspiring “movie worthy” story of her mom as a “little girl” forced to leave Cuba for America on a plane prior to the revolution under the CIA’s Peter Pan program. Her Mom’s inspiring words, “Someone will always be smarter than you, prettier than you, richer than you, but no one better out work you” gave Maria all the motivation she needed to dream big. She is always “feeding her mind” with positive thoughts and learned that before you take a job, take the time to ride around with the person who has the job you want.
