The harmful ways the nuclear family prohibits growth, safety, and community is a disservice to only the working class but is integral to the way capitalism runs. Capitalism requires detachment and insecurity of other peoples motives and capabilities. A large way this manifests is through the use of the nuclear family and the pressure for us to confront, societally to it. Not only in a social way, but in an economic and legal way.
