Episode 20. Making every sound more Def with Jigzaw Geoff aka Blunted Stylus We were stoked to have Jigzaw join us for the 20th episode of Beers, Beats & The Biz. This episode is a journey from the late 70’s up to now with one of the earliest writers, breaker, digger and producer Brisbane birthed. A forefather of culture, Geoff takes us back to painting Brisbane’s first pieces, and on through his lengthy career as a member of the Resin Dogs and on to his friendships with pioneers like Hams and Lazy. In between it all we get a history lesson on the southern suburbs of Brisbane, Triple Zed’s first Hip Hop event and radio show - Just 2 Def, touring, signing with a major label and producing Lazy’s phenomenal Stop N Think. Geoff rattles off years, friends, records, equipment and events while we sit and learn from a master that laid the path for generations to come. This episode is dedicated to the recent passing of DJ Lopsided, and we take a few minutes to honour his memory in our intro. We can never thank Geoff enough for the time he gave us.
