Ep. 20 - Recruiting Tips w. Shane Christopher

Zuby & Erik welcome former OCAA College ‘Coach of the Year’ (and current club volleyball parent), Shane Christopher, to discuss the sometimes overwhelming and daunting chore of getting recruited. Parents, players, and coaches will want to listen in as the guys ask Coach Christopher… What’s the best way to start the recruitment process? What do college & university coaches look for? What kind of video do coaches like to see? Is there hope for players who haven’t been recruited? Do ‘open tryouts’ even exist anymore? Do college coaches value club or high school volleyball more? What advice would college coaches give to parents or players? As usual, this episode will be filled with a tonne of GOLD nuggets, so be sure to listen with your young player(s) to help set your minds at ease and get a handle on this increasingly stressful & competitive component of youth volleyball. -------------- We hope you enjoy this podcast & all the FREE content created by the former pro players, coaches - and current volleyball parents - at VOLLEYBALLOGY.
