Ep. 20: Turning the page on the deadline & talking about the draft with Chris Peters!

With the trade deadline in the rear-view mirror, we decided to turn our attention to the draft this week on The DFO Rundown! In a normal season, this is right around the time when the league's draft lottery would be happening and with a lot of teams already out of the playoff race, now seemed like a perfect time to take a peek at the next wave of NHL stars. To do that, who better to bring into the podcast than Chris Peters of HockeySense!   Chris is now in his second decade of scouting NHL prospects but of course, with the pandemic, this season has been unlike any other. Chris talked to us about how much difficult it is to scout a player solely off video and also, lessons he's learned through his 10 plus years of watching prospects. From there, we got into some of the big names in this year's draft class like Owen Power, the two elite goalies in this year's class, and a name that already has scouts split.
