It’s okay to rest when you’ve been through different trials and tribulations. It’s okay to set healthy boundaries and say no. Remember, no is a complete sentence. Unfortunately, some will think that setting boundaries and saying no to them can be an attack on their character. Those are the types of people you don’t need in your life. The ones who care and matter will give you the space you need if you ask for it. Know that you are not the bad guy for simply wanting to rest for simply wanting to find peace of mind. Those who will make it about them that you need some space will make themselves known. Once they reveal themselves, cut the weeds out to carry on with your life. A true friend will wait for you to heal from whatever it is you’re going through and will wait for you with open arms when you are ready to come back out into the real world.
