EP 202 - From Air Force COLD to CARIBBEAN Dreams: Now DOMINATING the Gridiron in the DR.

from Roos Geraldo

In this episode we introduce our friend, and also a valuable team member for the “Lobos”, Stew Blackwell, who was born and raised in Missouri, United States. After serving in the Air Force for several years in 2018, Stew, who is not a fan of the winter and any cold weather, decides to go on a vacation to the Dominican Republic where he meets his wife, falls in love, and decides to stay. As of today, Stew has lived in the country for approximately 5+ years and speaks very highly of its culture, quality of life, baseball league players, site seeing (Constanza, Jarabacoa), except the driving.Stew, who is also a passionate baseball fan recalls playing this sport while young and all of the trajectory of his favorite baseball players like Albert Pujols.Stew’s nickname is the “the fantasy beast” and he explains that fantasy football is you take real guys from NFL, and they get drafted, and what they do is how it break downs your scoring. He continues sharing his insights for the game and teaching the skills and strategies that he takes into consideration while considering the players he gets drafted. We carry on talking about the recent American football playoffs and the predictions for the Super Bowl LIX 2025 which has ended in The Chiefs and Eagles face off. The Chiefs are slight favorites, aiming for a historic three-peat. Analysts are split, but most lean toward Kansas City. Mahomes and Barkley are key players to watch. Betting markets favor the Chiefs. We also mark the importance that the coach is crucial for a quarterback because they design the game plan, call plays, and develop the QB’s skills. A great coach tailors the system to the QB’s strengths, helps them read defenses, and makes key adjustments during games. The relationship between a QB and coach, like Mahomes and Andy Reid, can define a team’s success. What do you think? Will american football continue to make it’s comeback to the Dominican RepublicIf you have any other questions or comments please let us know.Hit like, subscribe and share.
